Overview
" A Great Combination of Natural and Historical Sites "
Pamukkale, meaning 'Cotton Castle', is a natural and historical site and attraction. It is also recognized as a World Heritage Site together with the ancient city of Hierapolis. Pamukkale is one known as a major mineral-bath spa because of its natural pools and brilliantly white dramatic travertine shaped pools, filled by the hot calcium waters spring from the ground which cascade over a cliff.
Hierapolis means ‘Sacred City’.In addition to interesting Roman ruins, the site offers a thermal Sacred Pool in which you can swim with ancient artefacts, with a view of the spectacular white terraces of Pamukkale. Once a Roman bath, the Hierapolis Museum is open for you to explore Roman archaeology.
